| The Pobjoy Mint began to produce the Silver Cat Coins for Isle of Man in 1988. The Cat Coin Collection has become one of the most popular coin series. The obverse of the coins features the official portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, and the reverse design chooses a different cat each year, such as the Manx, Persian, Norwegian Forest and so on. The Cat Silver Coins are struck in pure .999 fine silver in 1 ounce size. The Cat Gold Coins are also available with five different sizes. | |||
